Description
High temperature Phenolic wheels are made from a macerated canvas core impregnated with high temperature phenolic resin, molded under high pressure and temperature. They are very hard, comparable to a plastic cue ball, and extremely durable for a plastic wheel. Pound for pound they will handle as much weight as a cast iron wheel, but they may chip with impact upon steel surfaces such as the edges of diamond plate and metal debris, they are resistant to oil, gasoline, grease, and mild acids. But they are not recommended for excessively wet applications; when they wear and the canvas core is exposed, they will absorb water and degrade. High temperature phenolic wheels are the ideal wheel for commercial ovens and other high temperature applications.
