Description
Cushion rubber wheels have soft rubber treads molded onto hard rubber cores. Cushion rubber is quiet, absorbs shock, rolls easily over small objects, protects costly floor surfaces from damage, minimizes vibration, and is resistant to most chemicals, oil, grease, cleaning agents, solvents, and water. Compared to TP rubber, polyurethane and harder treads, cushion rubber is not non-marking, not as durable, not as abrasion resistant, and it will not handle very heavy loads. Under heavy loads rubber tends to flatten out and as such does not roll as easily. Rubber wheels should not be left standing under a heavy load for extended periods of time since the tires may take a permanent “set” or develop flat spots.
