Description
Polyolefin wheels are made from a single solid piece of industrial plastic, injection molded from a blend of thermoplastic polymers. They are relatively hard wheels and ideally suited to wet and corrosive applications, impervious to water and extremely resistant to most organic solvents, oil, grease, chemicals, acids and cleaning solutions. Compared to other hard wheels, like iron and phenolic, they have limited weight capacity and temperature range. We do not recommend them for very cold environments like refrigerated storage rooms, because polyolefin tends to become brittle at low temperatures. One important feature of polyolefin wheels is that they are very inexpensive relative to other wheels. We offer them in several different shape configurations.
